Today is my last post before I head off on my Christmas travels.  I don't leave until Tueday but I know from experience I get stressed when I overload myself so I'm leaving Monday blog free.  I also wanted to make sure I got the chance to wish you all a wonderful Christmas.

I also wanted to remind you that on my law of attraction blog I have been focusing on creating your ideal Christmas.  You can find this blog at I hope you'll take a look. 

I found the photograph above on Microsoft office clipart.  It reminded me that we all need to shine.  We are all stars and each and every one of us has something so special we need to let it shine through.  Let your love shine, let your eyes shine, let your smile shine and brighten up even the darkest days.

So my Christmas suggestion to you is this.  No matter what you are doing or who you are with SHINE and let the whole world see your true colours and see how amazing you really are.

Get Your Ideal Christmas - Part 5

Welcome back!  Today is going to be my last post before Christmas.  I'm heading off for the holidays on Tuesday and I'm going to be extremelly busy on Monday preparing to go.  So I'm making today my last blogging day.  This way I don't overload myself or my emotions.  This is something I want you to do too.  Look at all the things you have to do over the next couple of weeks in the run up to Christmas.  What is essential?  What is eating up your time?  If it's not absolutely essential or making you feel great GET RID OF IT.  Seriously, when you take a look at all the things you have going on in your life, I can almost guarantee you will be able to get rid of some of your time eaters.

 When we spend time doing the things we love we feel happy.  When we feel happy we attract more happiness into our lives.

As today is the final part of Get Your Ideal Christmas I want to share one more essential part of attracting what you want.  GRATITUDE!

This is so simple yet so powerful.  Show gratitude for the things you already have and the universe WILL give you more to be grateful for.

Get Your Ideal Christmas - Part 4

Children know how important it is to write a letter to Santa to ensure they get their Christmas wishes.  What a shame we forget this special part of Christmas as we grow up.  This year (no matter how old you are) I want you to write your own letter to santa.

Tell Santa exactly what you want for Christmas.  Now children usually add a present list.  Of course you can add presents to your list but go back to your original list of things you want for this christmas and ask Santa for them.  Make the letter personal and tell him why you want these things.  If you've got a real fire why not send it up the chimney to Santa.

Get Your Ideal Christmas - Part 3

A great way to focus on the type of Christmas you want is to use affirmations.  They're easy and FREE.

I'll give you a few examples of affirmations you might like to use yourself to create your ideal Christmas but as I've said before, we are all different so please feel free to change them to suit you.  Always use positive words and always use the present tense.

This Christmas I choose to feel happy and relaxed.

This Christmas I choose to ask for help with the Christmas dinner

I choose to allow friends and family to help with Christmas this year.

I am a great mum and my kids love me all year around.

I love Christmas, It's a time for happy family gatherings

Christmas is a happy and loving time

Christmas dinner is easy, I'm well organised and a great cook.

I recommend you choose 3-4 affirmations that sum up what you want this Christmas.  Write each one down and then repeat 3 times in the morning and before bed (and anytime in between).  However just saying them isn't really that effective you need to really feel your words.  The more you can believe the words the more real they become.  Daydream about the affirmations as you say them and spend a few minutes afterwards daydreaming as if they are real.

I often hear people say that affirmations don't work.  Firstly I would say they do work but you need to put some effort in.

Be consistent - It's no good saying the affirmations without feelings - Add the emotion.
Do it everyday right up to and during Christmas.  A few days here and there has little effect.
Be realistic.  You need to believe what you want is possible.  You don't need to know how, just that it could be possible.

So asking for Brad Pitt or Julia Roberts to turn up at your door on Christmas morning armed with luxury presents declaring undying love for you might not be too realistic.

Christmas On A Budget

Christmas is a time of great financial stress for many, many people. Today I want to share some tips to help you get through Christmas without it crippling you financially.

1- Set a realistic budget. Work out exactly what you can afford to spend and stick to it.

2- Credit cards - Credit cards are a Godsend if used correctly. My advice is only spend what you can afford. Use your cards by all means but make sure you'll be able to pay them off when the NEXT bill arrives otherwise you'll be paying interest.

3-Whatever your budget is for Christmas this year plan your spending.

-How much with the food cost?
-What bills will be coming in over Christmas?
Cost out all the essentials first.
Whatever is left goes on presents, going out etc.

4-Be creative with presents.
-Make gifts (cakes and biscuits go down well or an original painting by you or the kids)
-Give the gift of time. Can you offer babysitting time, gardening time or cleaning time to friends and relatives.

5-Give your Kids some credit.
This works in two ways

-Trust your kids and explain to them that this year your on a christmas budget and you only have limited money to spend on gifts most kids can understand this. Smaller kids will still expect Santa to bring gifts - Explain that Santas on a budget too for this year and he has lots of children around the world to buy presents for.

-Give your kids some IOU's this Christmas. Decorate a cardboard box and fill it with newspaper etc, inside an envolope write out an IOU.
for example IOU 1 picnic on the beach, IOU 1 baking day, I owe you a trip to the cinema.

These are great ways to add inexpensive or no cost gifts. Most kids and adult love seeing lots of presents and the opening. Don't think your kids will think this is a rubbish gift. I always add these sort of gifts (for children and adults) and they all love it. It's also something to talk about, plannning when and where.

6 - Speak to relatives and explain that this year your on a really tight budget. Ask them not to buy presents this year and then you don't need to buy for them.

7 - Make use of the bargain shops.  Pick up some fun items for next to nothing and fill up the space under your tree.  Ever present doesn't need to be 'That special gift'.

My kids get a small pack of after eights every year from santa and it's a family tradition that costs very little.

Many of us have limiting/negative beliefs regarding Christmas time.

These are all negative beliefs.

Maybe Christmas is a reminder of the people who are no longer with you. 

For whatever reason Christmas can be an unpleasant time for many.

Before you can attract the things you want you must first work on clearing negative beliefs you hold.

As many of you already know I love hypnosis as a way of doing exactly this.  It's easy, cheap, relaxing and it works.

Get Your Ideal Christmas - Part 1

This week I'm going to be concentrating on Christmas.  Specifically how to have a great Christmas.
Remember that we receive whatever we put our focus on (positive or negative).

So it's important to focus on what you do want.

Christmas is different for everyone and what you want may be very different to what I want.

So today I want you to get really clear about what you do want.

A really good way to do this is to write down everything you don't want and then ask yourself
"So what do I want?"
Then write what you do want on a sheet of paper. 

Read it through and if anything doesn't feel quite right change your list until it does feel right to you.

Now go through every single statement on your list and really focus on it. 

Perhaps you wrote down "I do want my family to enjoy the Christmas dinner I cook for them."

You need to focus on this statement.

How would you feel ?  (Happy and warm inside knowing everyone was enjoying eating the food I made)

What would you hear? (This tastes wonderful, thank you for spending so much time cooking for us, it's delicious)

What would you smell? (Delicious aromas fill the air of cooked turkey and delicious roast vegetable cooked to perfection)

What would you taste?  (Mouthwateringly delicious christmas pudding, Umm Yummy!)

What would you see? (Everyone happy and enjoying the food I cook)

I'm sure you get the idea.  Do the same for every single thing on your list and add as much emotion as possible.

The more detail you add the better.

Make Time For Someone Special

It doesn't matter who that someone special is in your life.  It could be your husband, wife, kids, parents, sisters, brothers, friends.  It could even be the person on the cash desk that is always polite to you.

Whoever it is (they are)  MAKE TIME FOR THEM.   Tell them they make you happy, tell them you care...

We spend so much time rushing and doing we don't always take the time for the things that really count.  A smile, a hug a friendly word.

I'm closing my computer in a few minutes to go and collect Jack from school.  He's been poorly all week and today is his first day back to school.  He'll need a hug and lots of fuss.  My husband is finishing early so my weekend family time is starting now.  That's what matters to me.

Make time for the people that matter to you.

Just a quick note from me to you today to wish you all a wonderful weekend.  I'm planning on switching the computer off this weekend (well for most of it).  It's been a long week with Jack being poorly.  I'll be heading off to collect him from school in a few minutes.  I'm stopping off to buy Coloured card for Jack to make some special cards and then we're doing whatever we feel like for the rest of the weekend.

Lots of time for hugs, snuggles on the sofa and playing.

Recipe Day - Lemon Chicken

I love this quick and easy recipe.  It's yummy and healthy which is always a winner.  Hope you like it.
Feel free to share it with friends.  Just looking at the picture is making my mouth water.  And for once it looked pretty much the same when I cooked it too.  I'm not reknowned for my cooking abilities.  So these easy recipes are a blessing for me and my family.

Lemon Chicken
Serving Size: 4 ~ 6
Preparation Time: 45 minutes


2 tablespoons Dry sherry
4 green (Spring) onions, chopped
1 Piece of root ginger, shredded
500g (1 pound) boned chicken, cut into 1 inch strips
2 Celery sticks, sliced
125g (4oz) button mushrooms, quartered
1 Green pepper, cored, seeded, and sliced
2 tablespoons Light soy sauce
Shredded rind of 2 lemons
A few lemon slices to garnish
2 tablespoons oil for stir-frying


Put the sherry, spring onions and ginger in a bowl.

Add the chicken, toss well to coat, then leave to marinate in the bowl for 15 minutes.

Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan.

Add the celery, mushrooms, and the green pepper.

Stir-fry for one minute.

Add the chicken and marinade, then cook for 3 minutes.

Stir in the soy sauce and lemon rind then cook for a further minute.

Pile into a warmed serving dish and garnish with lemon slices.

Improve Your Self Confidence In 15 Minutes

I used to be frighteningly under confident in social situations. And although people who know me now would never believe I used to doubt myself so much I literally had to learn confidence until it became a natural part of me. I can tell you relaxed optimistic confidence is just, well so much more fun.

Here I'll tell you about the things that made the most difference to my confidence levels...
Some people have naturally high levels of confidence but everybody can learn to be more confident
Firstly, it's important to get a clear idea of what self confidence really means, otherwise you won't know when you've got it! So, self confidence means:

1) Being calm. For every situation in life you need to run on the appropriate level of emotion. Too much emotional 'leakage' into a experience can spoil the experience. You make great strides towards confidence when you begin to relax in a greater range of situations.

2) Being cool. The second part of self confidence is about being able to relax with uncertainty. To be 'cool' in a situation really means relaxing with not knowing how things will pan out. If you truly tolerate uncertainty, you can do pretty much anything.

3) Not being too concerned with what others think of you. You know when you imagine what some place is going to be like before you go there but when you get there it is totally different to your imagination? That's how reliable your imagination is! Stop trusting your imagination so much. I've long since stopped bothering to imagine what others think of me because so often I've turned out to be wrong.

4) Being specific - where do you want confidence? 'Confidence' is meaningless until you tie it to something specific. You are already confident that you can read these words or can switch a light on and off. So you don't need more confidence everywhere. To get what you want in life you have to establish exactly what you do want. Where do you want confidence in your life? Think about the specific situations now and write them down. You beginning to steer your brain towards confidence.

5) Understanding that what you expect is what you get. Your brain is an organ that needs clear goals to work towards. When a task has been set in your brain it will do everything it can do to bring about the completion of that task. If you've tried to recall someone's name but can't, hours later you'll often find their name pops into your head.
The 'trying to recall' experience set the task or blueprint for your brain's future subconscious behaviour which eventually produced the name for you - when you weren't thinking about it consciously. You can use this natural mechanism to start feeling more confident. But, to ensure you set the right task for your subconscious mind, the next point is vital.

6) Don't task your mind with negatives. Instead of: 'I don't want to screw up' (which sets the task of 'screwing up' for your brain), set the blueprint for what you do want! Your brain doesn't work towards what to do by being told what not to do. And nature has given you a wonderful natural tool to set the right task blueprints with.
7) Use nature's goal-setter: Now you understand how vital it is to set the right task for you brain, you need to know how to do this reliably. Good hypnosis will strongly 'program' the right blueprint in your mind through the use of your imagination. If you powerfully imagine feeling confident and relaxed while in a relaxed hypnotic state it will be hard for your unconscious mind to do anything else. The blueprint for relaxation has been set firmly into your subconscious mind.

3 simple strategies to get you feeling confident quickly:
1) Think specifically of the time/place/situation you want to feel confident in. Remember 'confidence' doesn't mean anything until you attach it to something specific.

2) Focus on words in your mind right now that describe how you do want to be in that time and place. Maybe words such as 'calm', 'relaxed' or 'focused'. Remember your brain works on clear positive instructions.

3) Close your eyes for as long as you like and think about how those words feel. Then, imagine the situation itself and rehearse it in your mind feeling confident and relaxed. This way you set the right blueprint or 'task' for your unconscious mind.

You can repeat this often to make it more effective and use it with as many areas of your life as you need to. If you listen to a hypnotic cd or download that can make the benefits even more powerful (see my profile below). So if you feel like you'd be blessed with less confidence than some other people you can start redressing the balance by using your mind in the right way right now.

The Ultimate Secrets of Truly Effective Affirmation Techniques

Affirmation has been used by successful people for centuries. It has helped many ordinary people achieve
extraordinary results in their lives. It has turned many failures into successes. It has made many miracles happen in the history of human evolution. However, the majority of people who use affirmation find that it doesn’t work. Why is this the case? What are the elements that people have missed when they use affirmation techniques? I constantly ask myself these questions, and seek for the answers. The result is, no one book gives the complete answer. Some tips given in one book work for a specific situation, but not
for others. Other books give other tips that work for other situations, but not for this. I have tested and filtered out the ineffective ones, and left only what I call the ultimate effective technique secrets.

The purpose of affirmation:

Before I give you the effective techniques, I must make you understand the true purpose of affirmation. Simply stated, the purpose of affirmation is to pass a command from the conscious mind to the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind has the ability, in anything it accepts as true, to do whatever it takes to turn it into reality. The purpose of an affirmation is to pass a message to the subconscious mind, and to make it believe the message is true. So this brings us to the first element of an effective affirmation.

1.The affirmation must be believable to the subconscious mind

Most of the affirmations people use, fail at this first stage. They tend to give an unrealistic message to the
subconscious mind, hoping for a positive response. If you are financially broke, and you say to yourself “I earn $100,000 per year”, is this believable to your mind? If your body is totally out of shape, and you say to yourself “I am very attractive”, is this believable to your mind? I doubt it.

What if you are currently broke, and you want to make $100,000 per year? What if you are out of shape, and you want to make yourself attractive? I find the best and easiest way is to use the word “I choose” in your affirmation.

Instead of saying “I earn $100,000 per year.”

Say “I choose to earn $100,000 per year”

Instead of saying “I am very attractive”

Say “I choose to feel that people find me attractive”

Do you feel the difference?

2.The subconscious mind seeks for proof

There is a misconception that the affirmation must be repeated thousands of times before it can be installed in
the subconscious mind. This is not necessarily true. You can use the repetition method to embed your affirmation, but there is an easier way. It is, at the time you find the proof, state your affirmation. Many people stay in poverty because they associate pain with money. Whenever they spend their money, they think of their bills, loans etc. This will automatically lead to ultimate pain. It is the feeling you attach to money that makes you rich or poor.
How can we turn this to our advantage? Instead of feeling pain when spending money, what if we associate pleasure with it? Next time when you go out shopping, at the moment you take out your money or credit card, say this affirmation to yourself “I always have more than enough to spend.”

See how you feel. This works because the subconscious mind sees the proof. As long as you have some money left in your pocket, this affirmation is always true, so the subconscious mind will believe it.

How about if we combine the first and second methods together and make an affirmation like this: “I choose to feel that I always have more than enough to spend.” Say this at the time you spend your money. See how you feel. You don’t have to repeat it thousands of times, a few times of real life proof will make your subconscious mind believe it.

3.The affirmation must trigger feelings

A fact about the subconscious mind is that it does not speak in words, you can only communicate with it through feelings, and emotions. There are two methods that you can use to trigger your feelings. The first method is to use words that involve feelings. Words like “fun, enjoyable, comfortable, delightful” will work effectively. The second method is to use imagination. Visualize that the situation stated in your affirmation has already come true. See yourself in that situation and feel the feelings.

4.The affirmation must obey the 3 Ps factor.

The 3 Ps are Positive, Present Tense, and Personal.

Affirmations must be stated positively. Instead of saying “I am not fat”, say “I choose to stay slim”. The reason for this is that before the mind knows the meaning of, “I am not fat”, it must think of what fat means first. So saying that statement will inevitably lead to the feeling of being fat.

Affirmations must be in the present tense. Many books mention this. However, I only agree to some extent. If you say “I have a luxury car”, your mind will not believe you. The reason I include this here is that once it is combined with the first technique, it will work perfectly. Now say “I choose to have a luxury car”. Your mind will do its best to bring it into reality.

Affirmations must be personal. Your subconscious mind only works for you, not for others. If you say “Ann loves me”, it will not be effective, because you have no control over Ann. Now say “I choose to feel that Ann really loves me”. This time you are in control, because you can control your own feelings.

5.Personal development affirmations should be stated in the comparative

“I am confident” may not be as effective as “I am becoming more and more confident”.

An even better affirmation might be “I choose to feel more and more confident”.

The reason for using the comparative, is because there is no end to how much more confident you can become. Otherwise, your mind may think you are already confident enough, and it will not need to do any more work.

These 5 techniques are the most effective ones that I have found from my research on affirmations. If you can use all the 5 techniques, I guarantee your results will be amazing. Even if you only use one or two of the techniques stated here, you will find your affirmations will become far more effective.

I often talk about limiting beliefs or negative beliefs. There are many ways to eliminate these beliefs. One of the ways I enjoy using and find very, very effective is hypnosis. Having Fun

Today is a fun day.  I'm having a wii fit competition with Jack.  Apparently he's winning because his age is 76 and mine is only 25.  Umm!  Oh well as long as he's happy. 

We're playing board games later and taking the dog for a walk.  We might stop off at our local tapas bar for a little bite to eat and a drink.  Jack loves the park at the side. 

Then I'm watching the X-Factor.  I love seeing all those hopeful singers, Jack likes to pick out his favourite and my hubby likes to tell me how rubbish it is.  When we're not going out, saturday nights are fun meals.  I always do something where we can all help ourselves.  I'm not sure what we're having yet.  I might even send hubby for a chinese takeaway.

The point is Saturdays in our home are set aside for fun days. 

There is a very cliched saying "The family that plays together stays together."  It might be a bit corny but it's true.  Make time for your family and make time for fun.

New Method Simultaneously Reduces 6 Heart Disease Risk Factors

Patients and healing professional all over the world are using EFT to address risk factors associated with many diseases, including Heart Disease. EFT, however, is one of the only techniques available that addresses this true cause. This simple technique balances the energy and eliminates the body and mind’s stress response.

To Journal or Not to Journal?

Today I want to talk a little about journaling.  As a novice writter I love to write and for several years I made it a must do task to Journal at the end of the day. 

3 things I am grateful for
3 things I acknowledge as going well in my life
3 intentions for the next day
3 intentions for life

This was my standard formula for journaling.

A little while ago I suddenly realised that this was a chore and not something I was enjoying.  But Journalling is one of the most powerful tools you can use in creating your ideal life. 

I gave this matter some thought over the next few days and decided to stop journaling, for now at least.

I now go to bed and relax into a peaceful nights sleep happily visualising my ideal life.  Since that day I have noticed a real shift in the things I am creating.  I can see my long term goals becoming a reality.

So the answer to the question 'To journal or not to journal' is this.  If it feels good to you then do it.  If it doesn't leave it alone.  Our lives change from day to day, month to month and year to year, what works for you now may not work for you this time next year.  I suggest we all take a few minutes every now and then to reassess the things we do to create our ideal life.

Book Review - Your Child Your Way by Dr. Tanya Byron

This is a 5* Parenting book


This book is probably one of the best parenting books ever written.  Many of you will remember Dr.Tanya Byron from The House of Tiny Tearaways series.

This book basically tells parents to believe in themselves and shows parents that their way is the best way.
She has a great way of explaining things and this book is, in my opinion a must buy for every parent. 

I bought this book when my own son was younger, read it, loved it and gave it to my sister, then bought it again because I loved it so much.

I was told about this book whilst training with The Law of Attraction Training Center. Now I have to admit when I first started reading this book I found it really hard work. I had to read and re-read several sentences before they made sense. As I got into the book I couldn't wait to read more and more. I can honestly tell you I have found this book amazing. I have wow moments on nearly every page.

Dr. David R. Hawkins is a renowned lecturer and expert on mental processes.

In this book he explains the difference between power and force. He explains and gives many examples of why Force only works in the short term and power is the way to great success. He talks about the levels of human consciousness and how this affects politics, the marketplace, sports, arts, health and more.

In the book we also learn how to use Kinesiology testing (muscle testing).

I personally talk a lot about raising our vibrations. This is the 2nd essential step to effectively using the law of attraction. When we raise our vibrations to over 200 we are in a positive state able to create what we want. Emotions at 200 are Courage, affirmation, empowerment.

The Secret - Part 3

Many people watch the bestselling film The Secret and it is an amazing film.  They start using the ideas in their own life.  They get very excited about what they are going to attract and... NOTHING!

Ooops, It must be a lie. 
It doesn't work.
This law of attraction stuff is a load of rubbish

I've heard all of the above statements and many more.

Well the law of attraction does work. 

And you can create the things you want in your life.

However almost all of us have lots of negative beliefs.  In order for the law of attraction (universe) to give you what you want you have to get rid of those negative beliefs.

You have to believe that what you want is on its way and trust the universe.

If you imagine a pathway and the thing you want is at one end of the pathway and you are at the other,  every negative belief or emotion you have is blocking the path to you. 

So let's say you're trying to attract a brand new sports car.  Wow, how exciting is that?

You enjoy the feeling of pretending you already have it and you are very clear about what sort of car you want but in the back of your mind is doubt.

I'll never get a car like that.
Yeah right, where will I ever get the money from to have a car like that.
If I was driving a car like that my friends would all be trying to get money out of me.
Guys like me don't get cars like that.

Wow!  This guys got some serious blocks. 

So what can he do to get rid of them.

He could use several techniques, such as EFT, hypnosis, visualizations, affirmations etc

You basically need to reprogram you mind in order to remove negative blocks and emotions.

It might sound hard work but it's actually not that hard to do.

The other thing to know is that we don't need to know HOW.

If you're anything like me you don't know exactly how a car works but it does.

It's the same for the law of attraction (universe) we really don't need to know how the universe will get what we want to us we just need to believe it will.

So to sum it all up we need to follow the three essential steps

1- ASK

That's your 3 steps to law of attraction success.

The Secret - Part 2

In the bestselling film The Secret there's a guy who is trying to attract a new car.  So he pretends he's already got the car and he's enjoying driving it.  He's imagining the noise of the car, the feel of the car.  He's totally getting the feeling of already having the car.

Now I'm not suggesting that we all sit in our living rooms and pretend we're driving our new car (although it's a great idea).  But there's a hidden secret here.  Can you spot it?
It's the FEELING.  When I talk about raising our vibrations, I'm really talking about our feelings.  If you ask the universe for a new car, a new house, a loving partner... and don't have the feeling behind that desire you won't get it.

Take a minute to imagine this scenario.  James is on his way to an important meeting.  He's stuck in traffic and he's only got ten minutes to get to the meeting on time.  James sits in his car and watches the clock, tapping nervously on the wheel.  James opens his window and leans out to see what the problem is.  Cars in front hit the horns in their cars and James does too. 

Have you got this image in your mind?  If you have you're probably not feeling to great.  So is there feeling in this scenario?

You bet there is.  James is anxious, frustrated, angry...  These are negative, horrible feelings, but they sure are feelings.  And the universe loves feelings.  The universe picks up on James feelings and sends out more of those same feeling for James to experience. 

Hmm, I have a good idea James day is not going to go well.

So if you're trying to attract a new partner into your life for example, you need to add the feeling.  How will you feel when you have your ideal partner to share your life with?  What will you do?  Look out for couples who are obviously in love and enjoying each other's company.  Take a moment to recognise them and imagine yourself in the same situation with your ideal partner.  You need to get the feeling.

A good friend of mine complained to me that she was fed up being single and wanted a man to share her life with.  I got her to get clear about the type of man she wanted to share her life with, next I asked her what she would like to do with her ideal partner.  She told me she'd like to have romantic candle lit dinners at home and then snuggle up on the sofa with a glass of wine and watch films.  She'd done all the partying and wanted a man she could just be at home with. 

After we'd talked more about what she wanted, my friend went home and cooked a beautiful meal.  She set the table and placed red rose petals and candles on the table.  She put on a beautiful dress and her best perfume.  She set the table for two people and whilst she enjoyed her meal she imagined chatting to her ideal partner.  After the meal she moved to her lounge and put a film on that was suitable for her and her ideal partner.  Instead of spreading out the full length of the sofa my friend left a space for her partner and watched the film with a nice glass of wine.  When she went to bed, she snuggled towards the middle but no further, she left room for her ideal partner.  As she fell asleep my friend gave thanks for her wonderful evening.

My friend took my advice seriously and continued to live her life as is she already had her ideal man sharing her life. 

Just over a month later my friend telephoned me and told me she'd had a couple of dates which hadn't worked out since we had last met.  She told me they were wonderful men but not her ideal man.  She then told me she'd been dating a man for two weeks and he was wonderful.  She told me she thought she'd found her ideal man.

I'm pleased to say she's still with her ideal man and very, very happy. 

So what happened?

She got really clear about what she wanted and then added the feeling.  She raised her vibrations and the universe delivered what she asked for.

The Secret -Part 1

The bestselling book/movie 'The Secret' has made millions of people around the world aware of the law of attraction. Some law of attraction coaches I know have concerns about it being misleading. I don't agree. Personally I believe The Secret is the best thing that has ever happened with regards to the law of attraction. Why? Because it's a taster to what is possible. I've had people come to me after watching this movie so fired up and wanting to know more about how to use the law of attraction in their own lives. They have gone on to create the life they want. You see as brilliant as the secret is, it's simply an introduction, a starting ground.

Today I'm going to talk to you about what words we use and how to ask.

So is it possible to attract what you want just by asking?

You bet it is.

However, for most people there is more to it. You see as adult we have had all sorts of different messages enter our brain over the years. Some are positive, some are negative.

Here's an example of somethings my own parents have said to me.

"We haven't got enough money"
"Eat up everything on your plate, there are children starving in Africa"
"Money doesn't make you happy."

Now I'd always thought of my parents as positive people. After all they always encouraged me and supported me in my choices. Yet, without knowing it they were programming my mind.

Take a look at this:

What is said
We haven't got enough money

What the universe hears
Not enough money (lack of money)

What the universe gives you more of
More lack of money

Now let's try this instead

What is said
There is an abundance of money in the world. Let's work out how we can get more money.

What the universe hears
Abundance of money, more money

What the universe gives you more of
More money, more abundance

I know which one I choose. Which one will you choose?

These simple words make a massive difference to your life.

As I've said before the law of attraction is amazing and wonderful but not too smart. it can't tell if what we say or think about is good for us or not. It doesn't know if more money or lack of money will make us happy. It simply gives us what we ask for. So from now on make sure you're using the right words.

The Three Steps to Using The Law of Attraction

When deliberately using The Law Of Attraction we must follow three essential steps.




Each step is vital.

Let's take a look at each step individually.


We need to ask for what we want. But before we can do this we need to get really clear about what it is we want. Most people go through life knowing (and telling the world) what they don't want. When you know what you don't want ask yourself this question. So, what do I want?

Once you know what you want be as specific as possible and ask. So asking is really broken down into 3 parts.

  • Get clear about what you want

  • Be specific

  • Ask


How do we raise our vibes? We know when we have good (positive) vibes because we feel good. The better we feel about something the more positive our vibrations. So we need to work on feeling great.

A great way to do this is to ask yourself 'What's going right in my life?' Make a list and keep adding to it.

Make time to do things that you enjoy. Even if it's just to stop and smell a flower.

Get into the habit of appreciation. Each and every time something good happens, take a moment to just appreciate it.


Allowing is probably the most difficult step for people to do. It's the part that is often missed out. Therefore whatever it is you've been trying to manifest never appears.

We need to clear the pathway for the law of attraction to bring you all you desire. This is usually where things start to get tricky. Most people (me included) have negative blocks in the way. What we need to do is clear those negative blocks/feelings/beliefs.

One way that I use to clear negative blocks is EFT (emotional freedom techniques). Some of you may know this as the tapping technique. It works by focusing on your negative belief and tapping on meridian points around the body. I use EFT a lot with my clients and it can be done over the telephone or I can even do this with you via email.

Other methods I love to use are hypnosis, affirmations, meditation.

This is a brief outline of the three steps to using the law of attraction. As I've said before, the law of attraction works 24/7 it never stops. The secret is knowing how to use it to create the things in life that you want.

We live in abundance every day of our life and it's all around us. The more you are able to show gratitude and focus on what you have available to you in life, the more great things you will get.

For me there is nothing more important than showing gratitude to people. Whether it's your husband, your children, your parents, friends or a complete stranger who impacts your day (a cashier at a supermarket) show your gratitude. If this is something you're not used to, it may feel a little awkward to start with but you'll soon get over that when you see the smile on the face of the person you show gratitude to.

In my journal at the end of every night I make a point of writing a few lines about what I am grateful for. I try to make it specific for the day and I usually add about 10 things.

Here's an example of what that might look like.

Today I am grateful that:

I got lots of work done
My clients were responsive to my coaching and the feedback from them was fantastic
I played games with Jack and we had fun family time
I got to read Jack a bedtime story and have a chat about the day
I received a new book I am really looking forward to reading
Richard (my husband) cooked a wonderful meal for us tonight
I had a lovely chat with my sister on the phone
I got time for a long walk with my dog in the sunshine
I received 3 cheques in the post today
I had a lovely warm soak in the bath before bed.

When we go through our day looking for things to be grateful for we feel wonderful and invite the law of attraction to send us more and more abundance.

Mind Monsters

My clients often come to me with a basic knowledge of the law of atraction. They have been practicing the law of attraction and asking for what they want and giving it their attention but nothing's happening.

This can often be due to negative beliefs. I work a lot with parents and children. Today I'd like to share a technique that I use with kids a lot. It's a fun way for adults to clear their negative beliefs too.

We all have self talk going on inside our heads. What you need to do is pay close attention to what is being said.

If it's negative talk such as "You can't do that, you'll never have any money, you're a hopeless parent..." Then you can be sure you've got a MIND MONSTER.

Let's give him a colour, say green and make him smelly like a swamp monster. Phew!

Now sit him on you left shoulder. Listen out for him.

Everytime he's got something negative to say we're going to BLAST him. BOOM!
Just like in the cartoons. Now as we all know in the cartoons (unlike real life) when the bad guy gets BOOMed, he's back again in five minutes, that's exactly what will happen with your smelly green mind monster. However, keep on blasting him everytime he says something you don't like. BOOM! and eventually he'll get the message. It doesn't take that long either. When you can't hear him so much, you start to become friends. Now is the time to tell him what you want from him.

Here's an example:

Mark is going for a job interview. When he arrives there are 10 other people waiting to be interviewed. His mind monster wakes up and says "Aaah, you'll never get that job, look at all these people, there bound to be smarter than you."

Mark has been making friends with his monster for a few days now so in his mind he smiles, pats his monster on his head, thanks his monster for sharing with him and then says (in his mind) "I am smart and have a lot to offer this employer, I have as good a chance as anyone if not better. When I get the job I know you'll be happy for me."

Over a short period of time you'll notice some changes in your mind monster. He doesn't smell so bad anymore, infact he smells pretty good, he's changing to a nice sunshine yellow warming your heart, and he's got some really nice things to say to you. Now you are friends. Now you can move him over to you right shoulder.

As with most friendships you may not always see eye to eye, that's okay. Just tell him what you want from him and you'll both get along just fine. He'll be there to support you whenever you need a friend.

Now with that negative talk turned into positive talk you have an open gate to travel down the law of attraction road and start to manifest all that you want.

The Money Game

Let's face it most of us want more money. Here's a fantastic game to get you in the right frame of mind (sending out positive vibes) about money.

Every day for the next week I want you to imagine you have 10,000 euros to spend. You must spend it that day and on things that you want.

Each day you get a new 10,000 to spend. Write it down. Celebrate your imaginary purchases.

Really enjoy the feeling. Look through catalogues, window shop, surf the internet. And when you see something you like say "I'll buy that."

Have fun. Let me know what you buy. Just buy sharing it you are sending a really powerful and positive message to the brain that you are ready for large amounts of money.
