Are You living in Chaos?

Our surroundings affect how we feel.  If our surroundings are chaotic and messy we feel chaotic and messy.  If however our surroundings are calm and organized we in turn feel calm and organized. 

Take a look around you right now, wherever you are.  Are you happy with how everything looks and feels? 

So what can we do if our homes are not benefiting us and helping us stay happy and positive. 

START SMALL

I follow the start small rule in most areas of my life.  That doesn't mean I don't have big goals.  In fact my goals are huge, but starting small is, in my opinion the best way to get to where we're going.  In this case creating a calm, happy, well organized home environment.

First pick an area of your home you want to tackle.  For example the bedroom.

Next pick an area of the room - Your wardrobe.

Now concentrate on tidying ONLY your wardrobe, nothing else.  When it's done you can start on another small area of the room until it's all done.  This doesn't all need to be done today.  If you clean and tidy 1 area of each room a day you'll still get there.  When you try to do the whole house in one go you'll get fed up and demotivated.  Sure it will look great to start with but can you keep it up? 

Have a daily routine of things you need to do to maintain a clean and tidy house, such as tidy, wipe, sweep/hoover, wipe the bathroom etc.

Once you've worked your way around the house each day or week decide on a room to give extra care to.

For example this week I'm paying special attention to my bathroom.  So it gets a thorough clean and I check all the cupboard and the blanket box etc. 

Next week I'm working on my kitchen.  I'll give the main area of the kitchen a thorough clean and then each day I will clean 2 or 3 cupboards etc. 

Knowing I don't have to do the whole lot in one go makes it easier and I'm more likely to do it rather than put it off.

This is a great way to get kids to keep their own bedrooms tidy too.  In our home we have a genral rule that toys are put away at the end of the day and one lot goes away before new toys are brought out.  It doesn't always work but mostly it does.  Then I will ask Jack to tidy his bookshelve or tidy under his bed or sort his top drawer out.  I find saying "Jack can you please go and tidy your top drawer?" works much better than "Go and tidy your room." 
It's a specif area and it only takes a few minutes.  Easy. 

Never be afriad to get kids involved in housework.  Young kids love it and it gives all kids and teens a sense of belonging and being part of the home.  Remember START SMALL. 

In my kitchen we have a wipe clean board.  On it I have this message.

TREAT OUR HOME AND ALL OF THE PEOPLE IN IT WITH LOVE AND RESPECT

Next time you need to do household chores think of this message.  You're not only cleaning, you're putting love into your home.

Are You Mixing With The Right People?

The people you mix with matters.  If you want to feel positive and happy and only mix with people who complain about how miserable their lives are you're already climbing a very steep hill to success.  If however you choose to mix with people who are happy and positive it will rub off on you and you're own journey to happiness is an easy ride.  I'm not suggesting you go out and ditch your family and friends.  I'm just saying if they are not happy and positive limit the time you spend with them.  When you are with these types of people don't allow yourself to get draw into the doom and gloom conversations.  Talk about something positive and happy.  If they complain ask "so what do you want?"

As Michael Lossier says "MIND YOUR OWN VIBRATIONS"
Simply put this means you have no control over anothers feelings, thoughts, beliefs etc, your first priority is to ALWAYS make sure you are feeling good.  Keep your own vibrations (mood, feelings) high. 

Actively search out people you want to be like.  If you want to be as successful as your boss, invite him for dinner and tell him you'd like to talk to him/her about how he/she became so successful.  You'd be suprised how little this happens and how much people who are successful enjoy sharing their knowledge.

Here are some really powerful affirmations you can use.

I only attract positive conversations
I only attract positive and happy people
I only attract people who support and love me
I only attract people who want the best for me and help me acheive success

New Hypnosis Downloads

Heal The World

This morning after dropping Jack off at school I was listening to the radio in my car when Heal the World by Michael Jackson came on.  Now I have to admit I have never been a huge Michael Jackson fan but this particular song always hits home with me. 

Heal The World
Make It a Better Place
For You and For Me
And The Entire Human Race.

What words could be better?   Isn't this what we all want?

I then started thinking about some of the things I have recently seen on the News.  Imagine if we all held the intention every single time we watched the News to HEAL THE WORLD, MAKE IT A BETTER PLACE FOR ME AND FOR YOU AND THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE.

We are constantly bombarded with BAD NEWS.  We are told our world if full of weirdo's wanting to attack us or our children, disasters are getting more and more frequent and the whole world seems to be fighting.  What do we have to be happy about?

Plenty, it's just often not newswothy in the eyes of those who produce these news shows.

I try not to watch the news very often but my husband likes to.  So when the news is on and I see something I don't like I say "This is not my truth" - To let the universe know this particular scenario is not for me.
I also ask to see the things I want. 
For example, when the Eathquale struck Haiti, I asked to see smiling children and people being rescued.  I wanted to hear stories of survival and there were many.  I ask you too, to focus on the good that can come out of a situation.  This does not mean I do not acknowledge what has happened and that many many people lost their lives, it simply means we can't change that and focusing on that will in no way help.  Focusing on survivors and aid getting through with ease is powerful. 

So I repeat from now on Every time you watch the news hold the intention to heal the world, make it a better place.   Fill your heart with love and let it overflow into everything you do.

EFT (EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUES)

I'm a huge fan of using EFT and as Gary Craig says "Use it on everything".  For those of you who are yet to learn this easy an effective tapping technique it's tapping on cerain points mainly around the head and hands.
Personally I use it on everything I have an issue with.  I also love to use it with my 8 year old son.
Here are a few examples of how I personally have used EFT.
  • To clear a coldsore in superfast time
  • To clear a headache
  • To easy stomache pains
  • To calm myself and others in stressful situations
  • To clear negative beliefs from my past.
  • Helping my son get to sleep
  • Helping my son focus on his schoolwork
Gary Craig is the Founder of EFT.  His website is packed with free information.  You can also download a free manual which actually teaches you how to use EFT.  This is well worth a visit.  For something this good I would really expect to pay.  The free manual teaches you all you need to know to get you started.  If you want to take the training further you can but most paople really don't need to.
